CAM Training with Fusion360

CAM Training with Fusion360 In-Person

Come learn the basics of Computer Aided Manufacture with Fusion360. CAM is the art of designing toolpaths to enable a mill to cut your part via CNC, or computer numeric control. CAD/CAM/CNC machining enables precision, rapid multiples, and creating complex 2D and 3D shapes.

In this 2-hour session, we will learn to define tools and toolpaths in Fusion, simulate the job, and export gcode for machining. This training primarily targets the bed mills in The Deep, and the same concepts apply to using the CNC Router in Metropolis and 3-axis machining with the Circuit Mill in electronics. We won't actually run the mill - to learn that, take our CNC Mill training.

 Required Preparation:

Please create a student account with Autodesk prior to your training.
Verify that you can log in to Fusion360 and access the Manufacture workspace.
Optional: download and install fusion on your own computer
Optional: bring a fusion or .step file of your own to practice on
