Dub Siren Workshop w/ Prof. Wayne Marshall, Philip Tan, & UROP Brenna Kennedy-Moore In-Person
Come for a workshop discussing the cultural history and technical design of the dub siren, a transistor synthesizer that made an indelible mark in Jamaican, Caribbean, and UK dance music.
Learn about research into classic and novel dub siren designs developed by the MIT Game Lab and the MIT Voxel Lab. Participants will have access to PCBs and components to assemble their own dub siren combining UROP designs and classic circuits from the 1970s.
Lunch and refreshments provided. Free registration required.
