Sewing II - Embroidery Machine

Sewing II - Embroidery Machine In-Person

This is a Level II Sewing Training. OPTIONAL Design Pre-work

For this training, we expect you to have already taken our Sewing training or know how to use a sewing machine, including threading a machine and basic handling of fabric.

Learn to use our digital embroidery machine. We will cover setting up the machine, using built-in fonts, and the software (Inkscape with Ink/stitch) to make fully custom embroidery designs.

OPTIONAL Design Pre-work

You may either practice on one of our designs, or prepare an SVG file to embroider.

Design rules for training files:

  • One color on a black or white background
  • Solid fills
  • Solid strokes 2-6mm wide
  • Fits in a 2500 square mm bounding box
  • Max 100 mm wide or tall

Optional: install Inkscape and Ink/Stitch on your own comptuer. If using your own computer, please bring a USB A adapter, we need to get the file onto an old-school usb memory stick.
