MIG Welding - Desk Organizer

MIG Welding - Desk Organizer In-Person

MIG Welding Desk Organizer

Welding adds speed and strength to your fabrication toolkit. In this workshop, you will learn to set up and operate the MIG welder while making an industrial desk organizer. Metal Inert Gas welding (also known as GMAW) is a semi-automated process that is easy to learn and fast.

This single session covers shop specific orientation and welding safety and prepares you to use the welding shop on your own projects.

Important pre-class information:

Please come dressed for the shop, in sturdy clothes and footwear. For welding, wear long pants with mostly natural fiber content.

The welding shop can get very loud. If you have favorite earplugs, bring them!

Arc welding generates high intensity electric fields and interference - if you have an implanted electronic medical device, please get clearance from your doctor before coming to class.
