MIT Laptop Ensemble (21M.470 / 21M.517) - FaMLE 21M.470 In-Person

FaMLE, the MIT Laptop Ensemble, is a forum for the exploration of emerging digital musical practices, giving ensemble members hands-on experience with compositional and performance strategies based on current research.

We use a variety of software and hardware instruments to learn about current performance techniques, and ensemble members have many opportunities to contribute, including to create new compositions and instruments to explore their personal musical interests.

Rehearsals will take place in both Kresge RRA and the Voxel Lab (e38-391), with concerts in various locations on and off campus.

No previous experience required or audition required.

Note: as a 6-unit ensemble course, FaMLE contributes towards 1/2 of a HASS elective credit.
